The Founders Club’s head golf professional, Chris Adams, was recently recognized at the PGA award celebration for the North Florida Section Southwest Chapter PGA Merchandiser of the Year Award in the private category. The award is presented to the PGA Professional who has demonstrated superior skills as a merchandiser in the promotion of golf with a focus on the inventory, shop display, staff, and merchandising techniques at a private facility.
“Being acknowledged by your peers in an area of your profession is very gratifying,” said Adams. “What means the most to me is the daily effort of the entire team at The Founders Club. Having a successful merchandise program requires the dedication and hard work of everyone in the golf shop.”
With more than 15 years of industry experience, Adams manages the member-owned Founders Golf Club, which offers 18 holes of championship golf by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and a traditional caddie program.
A graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with a bachelor’s degree in community health education, Adams also completed three PGA of America professional golf management program levels.
A traditional private golf and social club community, The Founders Club’s amenities are designed to foster camaraderie among residents and a connection with nature. Miles of winding boardwalks and paved walkways meander throughout the community, which is punctuated by palm trees, pines and moss-covered oaks.
