London Bay Homes Hosts Charity Event at Founders Club

Sarasota, FL, (Mar. 7, 2011) – Three local charities will benefit from a unique month-long special event hosted by London Bay Homes at The Founders Club, located approximately three miles east of I-75 on Fruitville Road.  The builder has invited two local art galleries to display exclusive works of art in three new million- dollar homes that will open to the public March 12 at the high-end golf community.  The models are opened daily 10 am – 5 pm.

The Sarasota Chapters of the American Cancer Society, Girls Incorporated and the Humane Society will be the recipients of all donations made by guests touring the homes.  The interiors of the three models have been professionally designed by Romanza Interiors.  Participating galleries include Allyn Gallup Contemporary Art and the Kathleen Bernhardt Gallery.  A minimum donation of $5 is suggested for admission into the model home art exhibits.  The fundraiser runs through April 10.

The three million-dollar model homes are unique in their own right, because few builders have introduced new homes at the upper-end of the market in quite some time.  “The housing market is now in a period of gradual improvement and this investment is indicative of the confidence we have in the Sarasota market,” said London Bay President Mark Wilson.  Last July the company acquired the remaining 86 home sites at The Founders Club and has since reduced the prices on selected homes sites and introduced new homes priced in the $600s. The three model homes included in the fundraiser are a $1,084,214 maintenance-free Cottage Home; a $1,126,620 Fairway model; and 4,000 sq. ft. Fairway model priced at $1,560,200.

“As our presence in the Sarasota market continues to grow, it’s our intention to be an active corporate member of the community, just as we have been for 20 years in Naples,” Wilson said.

London Bay Homes builds luxury homes priced from the $600s to more than $5 million in seven luxury communities from Naples to Sarasota.  It also builds custom homes on individual sites in many of the region’s most exclusive communities, on beachfront property, and in downtown districts ranging up to $10 million.  It also operates remodeling and interior design divisions and was named America’s Best Builder in 2008.
