The Founders Club sees record sales for 2020

Sales momentum has been building throughout 2020 at The Founders Club as evidenced by an array of new homesite sales, model homes sold and new homes under construction by some of Sarasota’s finest luxury homebuilders. Total sales have amounted to more than $20 million for the last 10 months.

The new private residences underway include designs by London Bay Homes, Lee Wetherington Homes and AR Homes – all whom are building or recently completed new custom model homes that display design possibilities for life at The Founders Club.

“The interest throughout this year has been tremendous,” said Melissa Dovey, sales executive at The Founders Club. “We’re seeing people come from all over – as close as Lakewood Ranch, to California, Chicago, Kentucky and Texas – motivated by optimal weather, favorable financial opportunities, expansive open spaces, privacy and proximity to beaches and Sarasota’s cultural district.”

One couple was recently drawn to The Founders Club’s natural ambience and privacy, as well as possibilities for expansive views of the nature preserves, wetlands and golf course.

“After guiding them through the community and providing an opportunity to play a round of golf on the championship course, the couple immediately felt right at home with the camaraderie and friendliness of the club,” said Dovey. The final moment came when a hawk landed on a post on the homesite; it was a majestic moment.”

Nature is a core aspect of the natural ambience at The Founders Club, which offers just 262 homesites within the community’s 700 acres. The community features hundreds of protected live oaks and a natural habitat that attracts a variety of birds and wildlife.

“Because of what’s transpired this year, health, safety and wellness have become key priority items amongst homebuyers,” added Dovey. “Today’s buyers are looking for lots of open green spaces, and outdoor activities. When you add in the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. golf course, one of the top courses in the region, the array of outdoor amenities like the Har-Tru tennis courts, basketball and sand volleyball court, open to all residents, regardless of Club membership, it provides for an ideal mix that checks all the boxes.”

The community’s championship golf course was carved from the natural landscape, with each hole sculpted in harmony with the natural beauty of its surroundings. Residents of The Founders Club can also enjoy a spacious but intimate clubhouse featuring casual and fine dining, a fitness center and a full social calendar with the purchase of an optional Club membership.

Complimenting the array of amenity choices within The Founders Club, a robust building program comprised of four builders – AR Homes, John Cannon Homes, Lee Wetherington Homes, and London Bay Homes – provides homebuyers with an expansive portfolio of customizable floor plans to fulfill a variety of scenarios. Each premier builder offers various architectural styles that seamlessly blend with the aesthetic and natural beauty of the community.

“We’re seeing about 75% of buyers still working part time,” said Dovey. “So, the opportunity to select from a myriad of builders to create a variety of home options – whether needing to create a dedicated work-from-home space or virtual learning area, has been a major contributor to sales.”

Homebuyers interested in design possibilities can visit the newly completed Davidson model by London Bay Homes. With plenty of space to accommodate a larger family or visiting guests, the three-bedroom, open-concept design provides the ideal setting for entertaining, allowing guests to move freely between the kitchen, dining room and great room. Double doors swing open from the foyer to reveal a large study that can be customized to accommodate overnight guests or be utilized as a home office. Located at 9272 McDaniel Lane.
