London Bay Raises $6,000 for Local Charities

Sarasota, FL (May 23, 2011) – London Bay Homes has helped raise nearly $6,000 for three local charities as a result of its recent Model Homes Showcase and Charity event at The Founders Club.  The luxury builder, with operations at the Founders Club and in the Lake Club at Lakewood Ranch, held a month-long art exhibition in three new million-dollar models it recently introduced at The Founders Club.  The three charities included the Sarasota Chapters of the American Cancer Society, Girls, Inc., and the Humane Society.  Each group received $1,700, with the Human Society received an additional $850 contribution as the organization with the most votes from visitors.  The company also awarded a cruise to one of the lucky visitors, Jack O’Connor, whose name was drawn at the conclusion of the event.

The art displayed in the homes was provided by Allyn Gallup Contemporary Art.  During the month more than 1,000 people toured the models and art displays, according to London Bay Marketing Manager Nicky Weston.  “Through the generosity of our visitors, and with an additional contribution from London Bay Homes, we are able to help support the community work of these three local organizations with this event.  We look forward to building upon our relationships with these groups well into the future,” she said.

London Bay, named America’s Best Builder in 2008, acquired the remaining 86 home sites at The Founders Club last July and recently completed construction of three million-dollar model homes, ranging in prices from just over $1 million to more than $1.56 million.  The models include maintenance-free Cottage Homes starting in the $500s with home site; and London Bay’s Fairway Collection of semi-custom homes that start in the $600s with home site.  The company is also building custom Estate Homes that begin at over $1 million.  Home sites at The Founders club begin at $150,000 and range up to $900,000 for premium properties that are adjacent to preserve areas and golf framed by the community’s iconic moss-covered oak trees.

The Founders Club is a gated luxury community located on Fruitville Road, just three miles east of I-75.  The golf course at The Founders Club is based upon a design representative of the first golf course ever built in the Sarasota area, with large preserve areas featuring majestic moss-covered oak trees.  The 18-hole course itself was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and includes one of the areas only professional caddy programs.  The 24,000 sq. ft. Golf Hall includes fitness facility, Har-Tru tennis courts and fine and casual dining.  The Golf Hall includes a scenic outdoor dining area framed by the 18th hole.
