John Cannon Homes’ new Adelaide model underway at The Founders Club

John Cannon Homes, a member of The Founders Clubs’ Builder Program, has begun construction on its new Adelaide model within the community.

John Cannon Homes has designed the Adelaide to take advantage of its views of the community’s championship Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed golf course. Located at 8293 Archers Court, the three-bedroom, three-bath home will offer more than 5,000 air-conditioned square feet.

Along with a formal entry offering views from the foyer, through the great room, to the main lanai and pool, a casual “friend’s entry” will offer easy access to a guest suite and the blended dining room and kitchen beyond.

Fit for a gourmet chef, the expansive kitchen includes an oversized island and access to its own deck that is ideal for growing herbs and vegetables. A generous chef’s pantry provides plenty of room for both prep and storage.

Encompassing an entire wing of the home, the owner’s suite features a private study, exercise room with sauna, and a luxurious bath and sitting area with its own courtyard. Beyond dual walk-in-closets, the bedroom offers access to a private deck adorned with a trellis that leads to the custom pool.

The expansive outdoor living area will feature a fully equipped kitchen and ample space to create an entertainment oasis. A bonus room, golf simulator room, and an additional guest room and bath complete the home.

The Cameron model from Award-winning builder London Bay Homes, who also handles sales and marketing for the community, is currently available for viewing.

Situated on almost half an acre, with views of the golf course and tranquil nature preserve, the Cameron model’s enhanced styling elevates the estate’s fresh, coastal-inspired architecture and design, with details like white lap siding, hipped roofs with flat tiles, and a repeating trio of windows adding visual interest.

The three-bedroom, 3,092-square-foot open concept estate offers a luxurious owner’s suite with private pool terrace access. A spa-like bath features dual vanities and a freestanding soaking tub positioned before a dramatic dual-entry Roman shower. The Cameron is located at 8841 Colonels Court.

Melissa Dovey, sales executive at The Founders Club, said interest in the community has been steadily increasing over the past year due to both its sought-after location and array of recreational possibilities.

“We’re seeing people come from all over – as close as Lakewood Ranch, to California, Chicago, Kentucky and Texas – motivated by optimal weather, favorable financial opportunities, expansive open spaces, privacy and proximity to beaches and Sarasota’s cultural district,” said Dovey.

Expanding choices for homebuyers, The Founders Club Builders Program also includes a portfolio of customizable floor plans by AR Homes, Lee Wetherington Homes and London Bay Homes. Along with John Cannon Homes, the builders offer various architectural styles that seamlessly blend with the aesthetic and natural beauty of the community. An array of expansive homesites overlooking picturesque preserves, lakes and golf course fairways expands homebuyer choices. Home and homesite packages in The Founders Club are priced from the high $800,000s to more than $5 million. There are no CDD fees.

The Founders Club is planned for a mere 262 homes ranging from 2,200 to more than 6,000 square feet and located within the community’s 700 acres. Curving streets and tree-lined vistas add to the setting, with miles of meandering walkways throughout the community connecting residents with the natural environment. The heart of the community’s active outdoor lifestyle is the 24,000-square-foot Golf Hall. The member-owned club offers casual and fine dining, a golf pro shop, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and a state-of-the-art fitness center, along with Har-Tru® tennis courts, basketball and sand volleyball courts and a picnic pavilion.

The Founders Club’s intimate size and low density is complemented by convenient access to Sarasota’s local restaurants, world-class arts and culture venues, the University Town Center mall, and the area’s Gulf of Mexico beaches. Just outside the gates, residents have quick access through Lorraine Road to a host of activities, restaurants and events in Lakewood Ranch.
