Delfina model at The Founders Club showcases colorful interiors by Romanza Interior Design

SARASOTA, Fla. (March 28, 2014) – The Founders Club’s newest single-family estate model home, the Delfina by London Bay Homes, features dashes of blue and citrus against soft whites throughout its 4,329 square feet of interior living space.
Romanza Interior Design’s transitional design theme throughout the Delfina emphasizes clean-lined furniture with wood, stone, metal and glass finishes, with a light, neutral palette as a canvas for touches of color used throughout the home in accent pillows, window treatments and upholstery.
The four-bedroom, four-and-one-half-bath Delfina, now open for viewing, offers formal dining and living rooms, a study, living room, game room and a large outdoor living area, summer kitchen and covered verandah.
Unique architectural and design accents add warmth throughout the home, including tumbled walnut travertine flooring set in an ashlar pattern in main living areas; grayed wood floors in the study, cabana guest room and game room; and volume ceilings accented with crown molding and crisp, painted beams.
The predominate whites in the living room, kitchen and game room visually expand and connect each room. Vibrant citrus colors unify the beamed surface of the kitchen and living room ceilings, the game room walls, and on pillows paired with blue on a neutral sofa.
The dining room, introduced from the foyer, mixes wood tones and accents of gold, showcased in the scrollwork design of the twin chandeliers, place settings atop the rectangular wood table, in the latticework backs of host chairs, and in the scroll overlays on a buffet’s mirrored doors.
The kitchen’s low-sheen arctic white cabinetry features raised paneled doors, display glass shelves and crown molding; the look is complemented by golden jade leather granite countertops and mosaic glass backsplashes. The room has a walk-in pantry and a free-standing island illuminated by a trio of glass pendants.
White slipcovered chairs in the adjoining nook circle a round table with a glass top and wire metal base. The breakfast area overlooks the pool and lake from a bay window, which is adjacent to the living room’s zero-corner pocketing doors framed by blue patterned window treatments.
Sliding glass doors connect the Delfina’s main gathering areas to its outdoor spaces, a link that begins in the living room. Soft white armchairs in the living room are paired with blue and citron pillows. Artwork and accessories displayed on built-in bookcases are also accented with the same vibrant colors.
The living room flows into the game room through openings on each side of a built-in credenza, where the flat-screen TV pops up when summoned by remote control. A second TV is mounted on the wall in the game room, which features a classically styled billiards table with carved legs.
The Delfina’s study also has a wood floor with furniture in darker toned and masculine colors, including a leather chair with nail-head trim. Walls feature wainscot paneling all under texture. Touches of gray, shimmering accents and bold statements in citrus offset the crisp white of the master bedroom. Linen lamp shades, nightstands, dresser and bedding are soft white with pewter accents. The bed skirt, chaise and an oversized pillow are citrus. Scrollwork also reappears in gray, which embellishes the window treatments and the upholstery of a bench at the foot of the bed.
Sliding glass doors provide a private exit to the pool deck and a resort-inspired view of pool, spa and lake. A single door leads out to the covered verandah.
The suite also offers his-and-her closets and a master bath with stone-colored glazed vanities, Calcutta gold marble countertops and marble tile flooring installed on a 45-degree angle, playing up its brushstroke veins of gray. Marble tile is also used in the shower, accented with mixed mosaic glass listellos.
The bathroom also has brushed nickel-framed mirrors and a freestanding white tub positioned below a trio of plantation shuttered windows.
Designed as a secluded cabana retreat, the model’s main guest room features a pitched ceiling, two closets and a gray wood floor. Its bathroom’s maple cabinetry has a toffee stain and honed Saturnia countertops. Real pebbles accent the shower floor.
A second guest room plays up the white and citrus combination, contrasting the bold wall color with white linens, furniture and a mirror-accented desk. Gray tones are introduced in bedding and the twin upholstered headboards with nail-head details.
The third bedroom pairs grays with browns and dark wood tones.
Each guest room has a private full bath with vanity finishes and mosaic glass tiles reflecting the room’s color scheme.
The Delfina offers 5,943 total square feet, including its outdoor areas and a three-car garage, priced at $2,128,900, furnished.
