A Full Social Calendar and Vibrant Member Camaraderie Set the Founders Club Community Apart

One of the best ways to find out if a community is right for you is by asking your potential neighbors what they think about living there.  The Founders Club members are a great resource in determining if the intimate location, growing amenities, or boutique setting and lush landscape of the golf and social club community are as appealing to them now as they were when they first moved in.  Chances are, you aren’t going to hear many complaints as The Founders Golf and Social Club is always bustling with members taking part in everything the club has to offer.

The Founders Golf and Social Club’s main priority is to build camaraderie between its members.  Five years ago, the biggest complaint from the club’s members was that they enjoyed the activities and events, but there just weren’t enough of them in the Sarasota golf community.   Now Hugh O’Donnell, General Manager of The Founders Club, says there is something to do just about every day.

Members can take their pick from Bingo Night and Trivia Night, matched up with a fun-filled themed dinner (last trivia night had a TexMex buffet!), a Food and Wine Pairing, or a delicious dinner prepared by Chef Marco.  Reservations can be made for two, but after arriving, you may find yourself seated in a table of eight enjoying food, drinks, and fun!

Anyone interested in a more active form of socialization can take part in the fitness classes held throughout the week or the men’s, women’s, and couples’ events held on the Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed 18-hole golf course.   During the golf events, camaraderie is encouraged by having everyone sign up individually and allowing The Founders Golf andSocial Club to pick the pairings!   This allows members to get to know each other while doing something they love.  Last year, the Golf and Social Club held their second and third glow-in-the dark golf tournaments (one in October 2013 and one in March 2014) where glow-in-the-dark golf balls and markers were used to light up the course.  Players were also given glow-in-the-dark bracelets and necklaces to light their way through the five holes assigned to the event.

Throughout the summer, The Founders Club is hosting Family Barbecues with water slides, cotton candy, and games for the whole family to enjoy!  This is in addition to the Summer Golf Kids Camps, the Junior Golf Clinics, the Kids Klub, and the Fitness and Fun Fridays already scheduled for the younger members of the Club.  Other substantial events held at The Founders Golf and Social Club include a Halloween hayride through the community in October, a holiday shopping event and tree-lighting ceremony in December, and a Santa Brunch right around the holidays (Santa starts working on his beard in August!).

There is something for just about everyone at The Founders Club and plenty of new friends to enjoy it with.  To learn more about the amenities available at The Founders Club, click here!
