World-class golf, state-of-the-art fitness facilities and a variety of social programs are all within reach this summer at The Founders Club, Sarasota’s award-winning golf and country club community.

The Founders Club is now offering a trial summer membership that provides full use of club facilities, social and golf programs, dining and additional privileges.

“Summer is the perfect season to introduce new members to the best The Founders Club has to offer,” said Bob LeFever, general manager of The Founders Club. “It’s also a great opportunity for golfers to hone their skills by using our high-tech indoor training facility and working with our PGA teaching professionals.”

Summer memberships are $1,000 and include spouses and children under 23. Trial members can apply the entry fee to an upgrade on a limited number of equity or non-equity memberships by Oct. 31.

The Founders Club also offers additional membership opportunities, including a growing young professional, corporate and an ambassador program that allows families to temporarily waive the initiation fee while sampling all the club’s amenities, by simply paying dues.

With one of the area’s finest caddie programs, golfers at The Founders Club are encouraged to walk the signature Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed course. Winding through 700 acres of natural preserves, the championship 18-hole, 7,094-yard, par-72 Scottish links course offers six different tees that provide a challenging and enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels.

The summer membership program includes dining privileges in The Founders Club’s 24,000-square-foot clubhouse. In Golf Hall, the club’s award-winning chef and culinary team prepare fine and casual cuisine for guests to enjoy in the main dining room, private dining room, bar and grille, and a covered outdoor verandah overlooking an oak hammock and the 18th hole.

Summer members have access to the Golf Hall’s fitness center, featuring the state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment, and complimentary exercise, yoga and Pilates classes. Members also have use of the club’s handicap system registration, golf bag storage, men’s and women’s locker rooms with treatment rooms, and reduced golf cart fees. Junior golf clinics are also offered.

Friendship fostering amenities include Har-Tru tennis courts, basketball and sand volleyball courts and a picnic pavilion for alfresco entertaining. Winding boardwalks and paved walkways emphasize the community’s connection with nature, with 100 protected live oaks and a natural landscape that attracts a variety of native birds and wildlife.
